The Executive Headteacher, Miss Fiona Bennett, is the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

Mr Richard Chapman (Assistant Headteacher) and Mrs Sarah Dixon (School Business Manager) are the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads.

Dianne Mousley is the DSL for Elevate Multi Academy Trust.

We work closely with families and other agencies to ensure the safeguarding of children. Underpinning our work is a collection of safeguarding policies and procedures. These policies form part of our statutory duties to safeguard all children. They have been updated to reflect the latest national guidance for safeguarding, as detailed in “Keeping Children Safe in Education” (2023).

Child Protection

Any Child Protection concerns should be directed to Miss Bennett who is the Designated Person for Child Protection in school. Miss Bennett may then pass this concern onto the Social Care Team who will decide on the appropriate action to take. Parents will be informed of this process unless it is felt that this information may put a child in danger. If for any reason Miss Bennett is not available please take concerns to Mr Chapman or Mrs Dixon who will follow the appropriate procedures
